Fighting expulsion questions

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York
A friend of mine was recently expelled from a college in New York City, over what should have been a very minor personality issue with a nasty yet administratively connected professor. She was there for a year before they kicked her out and the only low grade she ever received was,not suprisingly, in this same proffessors class. After all the time and money she had put into the program, it does seem that to be kicked out on reasons so flimsy, she should be entitled to fight it legally. Any advice?

Did she ever complain or bring the issue to anyone before?

Seriously, need a lot more info here. Why don't you have your friend come here and ask the question, since it affects her so personally and she was first person involved in the expulsion?

At the college expulsion is not something that just happens over a "personality clash."

What are these flimsy issues?

Low grades.. what does that mean or relate to this? Is this an expulsion for disciplinary reasons or grades.
