What is the name of your state? Washington

Many years ago I filed for cash assistance (welfare) when I became unemployed, so the state ordered child support be paid. Was on assistance for about 3 months.

The father was ordered to pay child support of $25 each, which I still receive to this day.

I am now filing for a modification pro se. The caption on the original orders state:

State of Washington on behalf of: (Child's name)
Petitioner

vs.
Father's name,
Father

My name,
Mother
Respondents

The court clerk told me to write my orders with the exact same caption as the original order, which I understand. She told me I didn't have to put the child's name.

So am I not the petitioner? Can I still ask for a modification? And finally, if I don't have to put the child's name, what do I put?

Thanks for any advice or direction,
Kristyna
