What is the name of your state?Louisiana
As to my other thread. Here it is January of 2005 and my father's wife left him in March of 2004. He has no idea where she is to serve her with divorce papers so can't he file abandonment on her since she did leave while he was out of state? I feel she doesn't want to divorce him because she wants his seperate property which is his retirement and Va benifits and also his house from a previous marriage. My father has asbestios and is not in the best health. If he were do die before they are divorced would she be entitled to everything or could my brother and I fight her for it? Or if she didn't know he passed away could my brother and I split his property ? Any help in this matter would be apprieciated it
