My boyfriend moved in with me 8 months ago. He still owns his own home. I will be filing a ch 7 soon. Will he be effected? Do I have to put him in my paperwork anywhere. We do not have any joint accounts. Thanks.

No, he won't be affected and since you 2 have no joint debts or assets there is no need to mention him in the filing.

Another question

My car insurance is coming due in August. I usually pay for 6 months at a time. I don't have the funds to pay this time. My boyfriend and I checked with his insurance company and they say I can put my car on his policy. How will this effect by filing bk. Will it somehow get him involved?
Thanks

It'll have an effect to the extent that the trustee may {or may not disallow} insurance as a legimate expense when you file since you won't be responsible for paying it.
Will your company allow you to pay quarterly or monthly?

RE car ins Texas

It has always been 6 months. I was going to ask about monthly when it came time to renew. I also found out it would be cheaper to add me to his policy than to keep my own. Mine averages to $58 per month and on his policy it would be $25 per month. My expenses are $1700 per month (not including unsecured debt) and my income is $1100 per month so I'm still in the whole even if I can't use the car insurance as an expense. I was able to keep up using savings, cashing in retirement, credit cards etc. but now now it is all gone and can't pay anymore. I'm just worried that having my name on his policy will somehow raise a red flag and then they'll want something from him.
I've already turned in my paperwork to the lawyer showing my expense for car insurance. He is not filing my BK until I pay him. I'm still trying to find the money to get him paid. I hate to call the lawyer and ask because his contract says he'll charge me for phone consultations. Stuck between and rock and a hard spot I guess.
Thanks for your help.
