Texas is a community property state. If I get a divorce from my spouse, will I have to split with my spouse the annual monitary gifts my parents have given to me specifically?

My response:

It all depends upon how that money was used during the marriage. Were you the only person who benefited from that money, or did you use it for the marriage ? What was your spouses' expectations of that "annual" money when you received it each year ?

The question is easy to ask, but in reality, is extremely difficult to answer. There are too many variables involved to give you a definative answer here - - because a lot of it depends upon your financial background, and your customs and practices during your marriage, concerning that annual money. I would suggest that you consult with a Family Law attorney - - and most will give you a free initial consultation. Make the call.
