in the state of texas, is a divorce final if the petitioner nor his attorney sign the "final decree of divorce" (the exact way the document is started) if it also says at the end where the signature belongs: "approved and consented to as to both form and substance." i don't believe this divorce is final, but a friend says it is. need help soon.

thanks

The divorce is final when a judge says it is. When the judge signs off or stamps the final decree, then the divorce is final. Unless there are kids involved and then it involves the rest of your life even if the judge says its over! :p

A young man came to interview a bank president.

"Tell me, Sir, how did you become so successful?"

"Two words."

"And what are they, Sir?"

"Right decisions."

"How do you make right decisions?"

"One word...experience."

"And how do you get experience?"

"Two words."

"And what are they?"

"Wrong decisions!"
