My ex-husband has been taking me to court in an effort to drain me financially. He has always black-mailed this with me before and I have always worked around him. Is there any law protecting me from being pulled into court over and over for no valid reason? Ex. He set a court date to take full custody and, after over $6,000 in legal fees, he announced that all he wants is a couple weeks extra in the summer and to write down what weeks he has our daughter. Totally uncalled for. Isn't there a law protecting someone like me from going broke defending myself to the courts because of him? He has a wife with a generous trust fund and he has told me that he has all intensions of using it over and over if it means I am down to my last penny. I would love a law that forbids him of taking someone to court unless he can prove just cause. If there is nothing, who can I write about this?
