Does the father or his attorney have a right to ask me how I spend all my money? They want a financial disclosure from me, but i feel they only need to know what I spend on our kids. I think they only need to know what I make, but not how I spend it. Is there any law or case that address requests like this. They are heading in the direction that I don't need what the support laws allow.

The request is standard. You list your monthly income and monthly bills and that's usually all that's required. You do not need to break it down into "nitty gritty" nickle and dime stuff......if you average $50 a month on household items, then that's all inclusive. You don't need to itemize $5.00 for the kid's shampoo, $5.00 for your own shampoo etc.

From one NYer to another... I just went through all of this myself....
The financial discloser can be downloaded and printed from the following website. Go down list of forms to Financial Affadavit and print...then you just fill in the blanks. Very straight forward document..... Good Luck....
