What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Utah

A student attends two schools full-time and receives federal financial aid from both (at the same time). The student disclosed to each school that he was attending both. One of the schools handed him a bill for the semester tuition and fees (that had previously been paid by financial aid). The school claimed to have been forced to pay back all of the students financial aid for that semester there. Does the student have legal grounds to not pay the bill? Afterall, the school knew he was attending another school and approved the loans.

The student owes the money. He took the services (attended class) and the school has not been paid. Student loans are ultimately the responsibility of the student, not the school. The fact that the school acted as a middleman does not mean that the student is off the hook if the loans fall through.

How do you attend two schools full time? What will the degrees be in?

If you don't get the bill worked out, they will not release your transcripts, and trust me, they will get paid, eventually.

What did the school say when they claimed you had to pay the bill in full?
