A small business owner is incorporated in the state of CT. He is the CEO and his father, who owns one share of the business but has no financial interest, holds another office. Is it public information as to who the other officers and/or shareholders are? If yes, where would I get this information?

My response:

You contact the State of CT's Secretary of State office. They will run a search of their records for corporate documents. For a small fee, they will send you copies. If the company is not incorporated in CT, then you'll have to hire an investigator to find out which State has incorporated the company.
