fire...how long do i have to pay when i dont live there

there was a fire in my fiance's apartment. the fire inspector said it wasnt her fault. the landlord is using the super too fix everything..the super is nice but is taking forever. if he had hired contractors to do it. it would have been done by now. its been about 2 months. she paid for the first mo. but now he expects her to pay again. what do we do? she CANT LIVE THERE. wisconsin. more info if needed.please help soon...her lease is up in march...and it was only supposed to take a week for her to move back in.
Still need more help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If she CANT LIVE THERE, why does she continue?

thanks for your reply. her lease is up in march, and was planning to move then..it was only supposed to be a week or so till she could move back in.

Either she should move elsewhere and not wait to return to this property or send L a certified letter stating that she will pay rent when the property is liveable again.
Where is she living now?

she is staying w/ me and her parents right now but all her stuff is still there. shes been there for two years..thats alot of **** there

another thing is he already collected the ins. money for it...does that mean she cant be held reponsible anymore?
