What is the name of your state? California
Once I gave my 2 weeks notice, my boss said that they would not need me. I'm I still entitled to the two weeks of pay? I did nothing to warrent being fired.

The company has no legal obligation to pay out your notice. They can if they want to, but they don't have to.

What they did was accept your resignation immediately. You have no legal recourse to demand this pay.

Contrary to popular belief, you are not owed pay for your notice time if you do not work it out, even if it is at the behest of the employer that you did not work it. The last day for which you are owed pay under the law is the last day which you actually worked.

And as Patty said, you were not fired. You resigned; your resignation was accepted immediately.
