When I was hired pt time for this company who has well over 15 employees I was told by two supervisors NOT to let the owner know that I am a mother! Apparently he does not approve of working moms. By those same two supervisors on different occasions I was told I was doing an excellent job with my stores.
Last week I was told we had a 'situation' that a Rep in Atlanta was losing some of his stores. As a result they were giving HIM my stores. I was never written up or even mentioned anything, about performance issues. I cant help but wonder if this has something to do with me being a mom. What legal rights to I have here in Tennessee?

You may have a claim for unlawful discrimination in the workplace based on your gender. You can either contact your state agency that handles claims of workplace discrimination, or you can contact the federal government's agency. The fed's agency is the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. I don't know what TN's state agency is called though.

You can also contact an employment law attorney near you to get some advice on how to handle this situation. You can find one near you at attorneypages.com
