What is the name of your state? Kentucky
My husband managed a thrift store for a "non-profit" organization . He as well as 2 other employees were all fired, no reason given..Is this legal?..and if so, is he still entitled to his vacation pay? And how long do they have to pay him for his last 2 weeks worked?

Thank You!

Kentucky requires that final wages include vested vacation pay, when vacation pay is provided as an established company benefit. Final wages must be paid by the LATER OF the next regular pay day or 14 days.

Unless your husband was working under the provisions of an employment contract which specified something to the contrary, he was an "at will" employee and can be fired for any reason or even no reason (although that doesn't happen - an employer always has a reason of some sort.) The only caveat is that he cannot be fired for a specifically prohibited reason, such as due to his age, race, gender, religion, national origin, in retalliation for filing a worker's comp claim, etc.
