my 17 year old daughter was ticketed for drug paraphernalia found in her vehicle. we have no problem paying the ticket however the office of juvenile affairs is requiring us to meet with them in the morning. hey have requested documents such as her immunization records, medical ins. card as well as soc. sec card and birth certificate. This was in rogers county, Oklahoma. What should we expect?

Your daughter should get counsel. She should expect to be put on probation and most likely submit to drug tests and the like. She may also lose her driver's license. Why are you underplaying this?

A lawyer would be a very good idea.

I would be pretty worked up if my kid was stupid enough to drive w/any kind of drugs/paraphernalia, but probably not so much otherwise if it were weed vs heroin, meth, etc. But that's me.
