What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Minnesota. I have invented and developed a new widget for fishing, and I have filed 2 very complete provisional patents covering different constructions of the widget. I would now like to show this to manufacturers, and allow them to make any improvements and have them file the utility patents (with some sort of written contract in place first of course). One of the big players is in Canada. Are there any special things that I should do other than request an NDA prior to disclosing my widget to them? If I have my provisional filing date, do I even need to have an NDA in place?
