What is the name of your state? Florida

I was served today with court papers for eviction. It says that I have 20 days to file an answer with the court. There were several problems with the three day notice that I was given including the wrong address listed on it and the landlords last name is different on the eviction papers as on the lease and notice. My research indicates that I can file an answer with the court noting the notice was bad and then the landlord will have to start the process over... with a valid notice.

Anyway... I need help writing the answer to the court. I can't find anything online telling me how to do this. Any advice? What is the name of your state?

I all depends on the judge. Some are sticklers for details, some are not.

I had a tenant give me a written 30 notice that they were moving. But they put move out by 9/30 when they meant 8/30. I charge them for September for two reasons. 1) That's when they told me they would be out and, 2) they didn't give me the keys back until 9/2
The judge said on the 30 day notice that "I knew what they meant" and 2 days into September was close enough as they were out on the 1st (not by the first).

My advise; you know the LL wants you out and you probably owe them money. Why not just move?

Consult a lawyer, or visit your local bookstore/library for books on representing yourself in court.
