What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? IL

I’m looking for a citation for the right of states to pass a statute in response to a federal statue that give citizens of the state greater rights than those given under federal law. Not finding anything specifically on point. Finding case law within the context of state constitutions verses the Constitution stating that there is no prohibition against granting individuals or groups greater or broader rights under the state constitution than provided under the Constitution. Really need something that speaks more directly to the legislative right of states pass state laws that expand upon rights provided under federal law where floor rather than ceiling preemption applies. Seems a simple enough premise but I can’t find what I specifically need. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
