QUESTION 1:

In Florida, Seminole county, I have heard that Small Claims courts will allow Libel cases.

IS THAT TRUE?

QUESTION 2:

If true, can you receive both actual damages like lost money because of the libel and "intangible" losses like "emotional stress" or loss reputation. If you can get "intangible" who sets the amount?

QUESTION 3:

Can you combine a simple "you owe me money" suit the most common Small Claims suit with a libel suit? (i.e. my "you owe me money" is easy to win but the libel is more important. That way even if I can't prove libel, I achieve the decision for the money owed? NO LOSS IN GOING FOR BOTH, IF ALLOWED

Advice is welcome, as are opinions, or guesses!

Thanks

They don't know!

You talk to people who take the forms, they know very little beyond that, which is why I asked here at this forum.

Most states do NOT allow actions for defamation in Small Claims court. I assume that Florida is the same.
