What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

I have purchased some flowers for my sweetheart to be delivered on Valentine's Day. I made the order almost a month before the delivery day. I have all their receipt and confirmation e-mails that they confirmed it to be delivered on V day. However my sweetheart told me that she received like 20 days before the delivery day. How should I write a proper complaint ? The flower was very expensive and I don't think I can afford to pay for another one on V day because we are doing long-distance.

What is my move here?

Have you even contacted the merchant? That may apologize and send your sweety flowers on the correct day with little fuss.

US Law Only - what state was the merchant in?

And, what do the terms/conditions of the merchant's site have to say about early deliveries?

I have just contacted the merchant and they said they will send a fresh flower on V-Day. However I asked for different and a bit more expensive flower and a teddy bear, and waiting for a reply. :p Is that fair?

Because the day she received a flower she was sick and we don't send flowers to a sick person. That is our culture. So it was pretty strange situation for her...

Absolutely not. It's pretty slimy of you. They sent the flowers early, she got a boost when she was sick, and they're offering to send them again on the correct day at no charge to you and you want them to upgrade the delivery? If you weren't willing to pay for the more expensive package for your sweetheart why on earth should they?

You're kidding. Your girlfriend got free flowers and she's going to get more flowers in less than a month. That's two flower deliveries for the price of one. And you still aren't satisfied?

Grow up. You don't deserve a major prize because a company made a mistake. It happens, they're making you whole. You have nothing to be dissatisfied about. If you are still not satisfied well, the flower company can't help you, you need a therapist for that.

You are really a moron and know nothing about business. It's not about receiving 2 flowers or 1. It should have been delivered on the appropriate day. Plus, she wasn't boosted, she felt strange for receiving flowers when she was sick. You don't know nothing about other cultures don't you? If they didn't fk up and not been unprofessional none of these would have happened. I already chose the best flower I could afford now the next flower should be better than that because it is a Valentines Day flower right? However she got a decent flower on a regular day and that is the fkd up part. I am just a boyfriend trying to make my girlfriend happy on the V-Day. I will make sure not use that service again and won't suggest it to any of my friend if they don't give me a good deal. That is customer satisfaction.

No. You are getting the service you paid for. The flower shop screwed up and they are making you whole. You have no right to complain. Frankly I wouldn't want you or your friends as customers again anyway if this is how you react to a merchant attempt to appease your complaint. Grow up.

I am REALLY curious as to what the terms of the merchant have to say as it relates to early deliveries. It is entirely possible that the merchant has no legal obligation to do ANYTHING for this OP. He should be grateful...

I agree with the other posters. They made a mistake by not sending them on the correct day. They will now correct that mistake. Done.

On another note, excuse my ignorance, but what culture finds sending flowers to the sick an error. While I don't doubt the OP, it's a little over-sensitive to get upset about something which is done fairly commonly in the world. What percentage of the world's population be upset if they got flowers when they were sick? (The person, not the flowers.)

Exactly what I was thinking. Were this my customer I would tell them to take a hike if they demanded more than the correction of my error. Luckily my customers seem to have more sense than this guy.

Someone who cannot communicate has the audacity to tell others to grow up? What a maroon.
Second that.

OP, some of your grammar makes me cringe. I would be most pleased if you would click that Edit button and fix those mistakes.

But not only that!

I would like to receive $100 for each error - consider it payment for the cognitive dissonance I experienced while reading your "awkward" post. Seems fair to me.
