I've called and talked to our local Credit Bureau and talked to them about my problem with the OSI collection agency. They told me that OSI is liable for up to 3 times the amount of the damage. And pasted on the phone number for the National Collecters Assoc. I have filled out the complaint forms against OSI. However on the form it states that the collection agency has to be a member of the NCA. If OSI isn't a member who should I contact next? Also in talking to the bank, I was informed that it is illegal to write post dated checks. If this is true how can a company demand you send them or be sued? So as far as the bank is concerned they are not liable. However, the Credit Bureau said the bank should never of cashed the check. If it's ilegal to write a post dated check do I have no recourse with the bank?
