From a recent visit to a restaurant,I ended with food poisoning. I was hospitalized for three days.I was not he only victim, from the this restaurant. It was reported in the local paper that 11 people had Salmonella poisoning after visiting the restaurant during 2 specific days. The restaurant was closed for 2 days by the local health depaartment. It thas since reopened.

My questions are as follows:
If I contact the restaurant directly, what kind of settlement can I demand in a case like this?I know there is the hospital bills and lost wages, but what about punitive damages?
