dabear, since you are a state trooper in Washington, I have a question for you? If I were cruising down the freeway at 150mph and you pulled me over, would I go to jail or would I get a ticket? And/or I should as, at which point (when it comes to speed) do the tickets stop and the arrests start?

Good question

It all depends on where a Trooper works in the state. I know one area that the judge will give one day in jail for every mph over 100. So if you were doing 105mph you would receive 5 days in jail. In my area, I will cite for reckless driving anything over 100. Not necessarily jail though. It really depends on the Trooper, we have the freedom to arrest or cite. If you were going 150mph, you would definetely be going to jail. The speed limit in my area is 60 mph. Thinking about coming to Washington?

One of these days I'll be checking out Washington (no high speed though).....I've just always been curious on how that works. Thanks for giving me some insight.

dabear, that fool posted

That moron posted something. He is so stupid! I closed the thread without reading anything that half-wit said. He can't even follow simple directions, like "stop posting".

Good for you Rochelle. He is trying to get us upset, it sort of worked the first time I read his post. Like you, I also ignore him now.
