The answer to your question is that unless her former employer knowingly told factual lies about her (such as "she was fired for stealing" when that is untrue), no, your daughter does not have any recourse. Her former employers are entitled to their opinion of her performance, even if unfavorable and even if you and she do not agree with their assessment.
