I was recently told by my employers that we must use our personal days (they lumped our sick days (3) and vacation days (10) all together as personal days as we take time off whether it is a scheduled vacation an unscheduled sick day or just a day off that is covered by other employees. We have to use our days whether we want to or not. We are no longer allowed to choose to take a day without pay for any of the above mentioned times. It does not seem fair to those of use that are full time employees with benefits when part time employees can take time off whenever. Just wondering if employers can do this regarding their benefits?
