I received private financing from the owner.
He has stopped making the payments to the mortgage company.
The mortgage co. has filed suit and served me as "unknown tenent".
I intend to file a written response to the court, showing contract and payment receipts.

My questions : Will this prolong the eviction (foreclosure). AND,
Can you give me a rough idea of the time frame, how long can I remain in the home.

Thank You In Advance.

My response:

A good attorney should be able to stall matters for anywhere from 4 to 6 months; however, where's your attorney and where's the "owner" in this equation? You have a strong action against the owner of the premises - he can't breach his contract with you without repercussion. Get an attorney because this is something you shouldn't do on your own.
