After 8 months of trying to sell our mobile home in a pk. we have not found a buyer, (we bought a home) We have made ALL payments on time-we NOW have decided to give it back to the bank. The bank told me that they will auction the home off and if the highest bidder is 500.00 they will come after us for the diference.)(value 55K). We cant afford this- We have alot of credit card debt- My husband is most likely going to be layed off soon...So we thought it may be better to file for Bankrupcy to avoid the posible huge amount that they will try to collect from us.The questions is this? Is it better to file for Foreclosure? Or Bankrupcy? We have perfect credit at this point but lots of personal debt. If you file for bankrupcy but own two businesses can they make you sell the business (one or both)We have one van for transporting daycare kids to and from school- Can they make me sell it? since I also have a car? Can they make me sell my recently purchased equipment for my business since I charged much of it? HELP

The answer to both of your posts is to see a bankruptcy attorney. Most will give free consultations. I have a couple of contacts in the south King county area if you are interested.
