A New York State Corrections Officer is assaulted while on his official capacity. Results are numerous injuries, e.g., cuts about face, head, neck, herniation to 2 cervical disc, 1 lumbar disc and severe post traumatic stress syndrome.
Previous numerous injuries in the past also results in facial reconstructive surgery, injury to back, neck and lost of front tooth. Through no fault of his own.
All this confirmed and documented by Local and State Doctor's.
As of this time Officer medically terminated, awaiting disability retirement and receiving very little pay to keep up with the monthly mortgage payments.
The Mortgage Bank now has placed him on foreclosure status because of his delinquent payments of 4 months.

Although he is willing in good faith to make a one month mortgage payment at the present time, not nearly close to what is owes, the Bank is refusing to accept the payment and continue with foreclosure proceedings.

QUESTION:
1. Is there anything this individual can do to keep what he has worked so hard for, his Home?

2. Are there any laws, case decisions or anything in relations to what you have just read that can be useful in his defense?
Thank You and God Bless :-)
