In 2008, I filed paperwork to file an LLC in the state of Kansas. The LLC was formed and I had intentions on maintaining it for as long as the business was around. Unfortunately, due to a bad business partner, I was forced to close the business earlier last year.

When I review my LLC's status online, there is a Forfeiture Date of 07/10. Does this mean that in July of 2010 my LLC will automatically dissolve. When I click on Forefeiture it says,

Forfeiture Date: If a business entity does not file or has not filed an annual report by this date, the business entity will be forfeited. A forfeited entity may be reinstated, contact the Secretary of State's office for more information at (785)296-4564.
Does this mean that rather than filing paperwork and paying a fee to dissolve it now, I should just wait until July to avoid any fees?
