I am invested in a US company that has recently purchased all of the IP for a publicly traded company located in Taiwan. The Taiwanese company owns multiple patents authorized in Taiwan. I am reasonably confident that the technology that it has protected is not practiced anywhere else in the world, including the US. If you were me, i.e. an investor in the American company, what sort of questions would you be asking management about its newly acquired patents?
