What is the name of your state? Michigan

I just got arrested for Forged auto plate tags, this is a felony 1-5 years.

I have a totally clean record, I'm wondering if it's possible to or worth attempting to get the prosecutor to allow a plea on lesser charges or is this a pipe dream ?

I haven't spoken to my lawyer yet so anyones insite or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

This is a very serious charge. You need to talk to the lawyer before you solicit advice from the internet.

Your attorney can tell you the best deal ... and chances are they will accept it. What it might be, I couldn't say.

Thanks for your reply, :)

They said to wait a couple days before contacting the lawyer because they might not have the info yet, so I thought I'll see what the "average Joe" may know or someone who has been prosecuted for this.

I went to my preliminary exam and they dropped the plate forgery, if I pled guilty to driving with no security (auto insurance). I got a $300. fine and $200. Attorney fee that I gladly paid. The stress and uncertainty of a possible felony conviction is dam near ulcer provoking. I learned my lesson.
