Hi,

I would like to sponsor an Afghan student who'd like to study medicine in the US. I'm thinking of signing a formal obligation. What would be my responsibility if he failed to pay for his stay in the US? What would be the legal consecuences? I don't live in the US myself, I'm a spanish national.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Xabi
