Former co-worker telling new co-workers I was fired - but I wasn't

Then as of right now you have no case.

When and if you suffer damages, as the law sees damages, that you can directly tie to the fact that someone said you had been fired when you weren't, THEN you can sue.

But right now, you can't. You don't get to sue for what might happen.
