has anyone gone through the process at fort knox? my husband is turning himself in next sunday, and I am concerned about what he will have to do. I read about people turning themselves into fort sill, but I need info about fort knox. He is flying, is that a problem? If anyone has gone through this, could you please give me a rundown on what goes on there. I am worried that we won't hear from him once he gets to the base. Can he have a cell phone or should he bring a calling card for a payphone? Does he need to bring anything with him? Any help would be great.

I can't answer your question but I feel for you, My husband will be turning himself in this week at Ft.Sill, he is AWOL from Basic at Ft.Jackson. I am also a concerned spouse, I wish you and your family the best.

My son went through basic and two weeks of AIT at Fort Knox and then went AWOL. From what I heard from my son and from everything I have read here it is alot tougher getting out processed from Knox. Your husband will probably be there about a month. AT Fort Sill it usually only takes a week unless there are other circumstances besides being AWOL. If it is possible he should go to Fort Sill.

Has anyone been through this at fort knox? I am wondering if this is true. We already have his ticket to kentucky. Changing really isnt an option. If anyone could tell me what they went through there, I would really appreciate it.
