What is the name of your state? Ohio

Last night, we ordered food from Taco Bell for carryout. When we got home, we gave the kids their kids meals and all sat down to eat. Our 8 year old pulls out a flourescent pink BOXCUTTER. At first, it looked like a toy. He pulled the clear sheath back to reveal A RAZOR BLADE! The safety latch was broken off to boot.

We took the boxcutter (immediately) back to the Taco Bell manager who said, "Oh, sorry--that must have fallen in the bag..."

THAT WAS IT.

I put a call in to the corporate offices of Taco Bell. They said that someone would call me back within 3 business days.

I am so upset about this!!! Boxcutters can be considered weapons to me. After all, that's what the terrorists used to hijack the planes on 9/11!

What can I do??? I am SOOOO MAD!!

Thanks.

You found the boxcutter and mitigated your damages, you have no injury. You returned the item to the point of purchase and contacted their corporate offices who will take a report and most likely offer some compensation usually in the form of food coupons and a refund of the price of the meal. Taco Bell is not in the business of terrorism ;) I just bought a box cutter yesterday, what does that make me?

An adult capable of making the decision to purchase one...

Not a kid with a reasonable expectation of finding something harmful in his kids' meal...

But I know what you mean.

Thanks!!

They were probably in more danger eating the food!

Forgive him Lord, for he knows not what he speaks. If it weren't for Taco Bell, I would have starved to death in high school. :p

Get over it! Sure it could have been bad, but nothing happened. You don't honestly believe it was intentional do you? I'm sure Taco Bell is going to give you all kinds of free food for your trouble. Things happen though. It was probably sitting on a counter and accidently got bumped into a box of kids meal boxes. Don't go looking for a big jackpot though. There's too much of that in this world already. Accept their appology, take their free offerings and consider this a valuable lesson learned. Now your child knows that those are things that they are not suppose to touch, just in case they find one around the house.
