We are thinking about franchising our business and was wondering if anyone could give me advise as to where to start to get information on being a franchisor. Books, sites, etc. Anything would be of help We are in Texas

It sounds like a great idea -- but being a successful franchisor is harder than it was to build your own successful business to franchise!

There are books about Roy Kroc of McDonalds fame, and any lrge bookstore has all sorts of books on franchising, as do some libraries.

I have not read many of the books, but right now why not start with the FreeAdvice.com website under Business Law - Franchising and get a sense of what some of the issue are. It has lots of links to other sources.
