What is the name of your state? Utah / Nevada

A complaint has been filed against me for alledgedly filing a loan application that bares false information. I supplied the instituion with a financial statement. A few days later I recieved a call, asking me to drop by thier office and sign an applicaton. I did this. I noticed that the form was blank. They indicated that they would fill it out from the financials I had given them. The problem is that there were questions on the form that they filled out that I was never asked to respond to. I had filed bankruptcy in 1986, and had never tried to hide this. It has been on my credit as discharged. It is public record. I had a heart attack and lost my business and health. Consequently, I defaulted on the loan. They are now trying to say that I tried to defraud them by withholding information on the form. And that they would have never given me the loan if they had known I had filed bankruptcy. I had held commercial lines of credit with major banks for years. My signiture is on the last of 4 pages. I did not initial the pages, nor was I aware of the information they filled out or marked thinking that the form would have only transcribed the informaton from the financials. It is obvious that I did not fill out the form, nor is the financial data filled completely or correctly.

Thanks,

Hope you have learned your lesson to never sign a blank form again.

All you can do is tell the truth in court--your explanation does sound believable.

And look up this company's name in county courthouse online records to see if they have done this to other people in the past and have they been brought to court on cases similar to yours. Check with your local Better Business Bureau to see if there are complaints on file against them.
