What is the name of your state?
This is M from Washington. I was researching internet service providers one day. Almost all of the sites I visited asked you to enter your phone number to see if they provided service in your area. After I entered my phone number on one of these sites I noticed a little "blip" that said "you are being charged for a long distance service call". After some research I found out this practice is called "cramming". My phone company removed the charge after I filled out a form through the attorney general's office but now this company is sending me a bill (which I have no intention of paying). I am worried about my credit report. Can they say I owe them this money. Who else can I report them to?
