Friend bought a lemon

My friend bought a used car on friday 1/28/05 On Monday he took it back because of a leak in raidator, On tuesday would not start, On wednesday tried to talk to salesman who sold car. (also owner) On thursday was told more then $150.00 for repairs, Seller will not talk to him. Is there anything he can do?

Is there a warranty? If not, it was buyers responsibility to have the vehicle checked out prior to purchasing. He has nothing.
