I have a friend whose car was broken into recently in another city. She had a friend with her who left her purse containing cell phone, home keys, and 3 prs. prescription glasses in the vehicle.
It was on floorboard covered up but thieves broke passenger window and stole her purse. Fortunately she had her wallet with cash and credit cards, etc with her so she was VERY LUCKY in this regard. Who is responsible for the replacement costs of her friend's items? Is my friend's auto insurance co. responsible for the friend's items replacement or is her friend responsible for her own replacement costs - or could she file on her auto or home owners insurance? THIS IS TEXAS.....your advice please. THANKS
