HI a little background info.
Hubby and I are in the process of adopting my Neice. Have had her from the time she was 6months old. She is 2 1/2 now.
Courts have stripped sister of allher rights.
She has 4 kids total and 3 of them have been taking away by social services. And her right to all 3 have been stripped. The 4th has been taken by Social Services in the state she isliving now, but the returned child.Kept Custody tho.
Anyway.. she has been calling and demanding that I allow Neice to talk to her brothers who donot even remeber her. As she was only 3months the last time they saw her and they were 3 and 4. I do not have a problem letting her know her brothers but I feel she is a little younge.and they live over 1400 miles away.
Also she now wants to let her father (who she hates) start having contact with neice. (we have diffrent fathers) Her dad is very hateful, mean and very rude. He has known from the get go where Dn has been and has never made one attemp to contact her. Am I obligated to oblige her. I have not talked if Social Services about this yet. Thanks tracey

If she has been stripped of all her rights, then the rights of the rest of her family are stripped also.

My understanding is if she is not the mom in the eyes of the court, then the grandparents do not have any rights either.

Your sister has no right to "demand" anything. You can tell her to take a hike and stay our of your life if you want.

I'm not a lawyer, just trying to shed a little light. Good luck.
