I understand if you are using a realtor to sell your home you will have to pay the commision , but as we are selling the home ourselves and a BUYERS realtor contacted us why should we have to pay a %, otherwise it doesn't make any sense to go the FSBO route. I live in PA. Will we have to pay 1/2 the fee??

Stop being greedy. If you listed the property with a Realtor you would have paid say a standard 6% commission. When a Realtor brings a Buyer to FSBO, you pay say a 3% fee.

The Realtor needs to earn a living just like you do.
I hate working with FSBO sellers because there is a lot of extra work as a Buyer's Realtor because the
Seller's many times do not have a clue.

re home gurus answer to question

I think your answer to my question was ridiculous I am not being greedy we priced our house at the lowest price taking into consideration that we would not be paying a realtor. Of course a realtor needs to make a living and that is why they now have so called BUYERS realtors everyone is looking for the best deal and when a buyer wants that, they should realize that they will have to pay for it. We hired a buyers realtor when buying a house in conn. and WE paid for them, this realtor was looking out for OUR best interests and not the sellers
