What is the name of your state?ca
I have a friend who is going to try to get full custody of his kids and then move out of state. The oldest being 9 and youngest being 1. The mother is not a bad mother. What are the chances of CA courts granting that?
Thanks.

Without knowing further details, it's impossible to tell. But the recent SC ruling is going to make it harder for him to move the kids out of state IF he manages to gain custody.

SC ruling? Could you elaborate for us less-informed individuals, Stealth2? Thanks in advance.

SC = Supreme Court. The Supreme Court of California recently (a matter of several weeks to a month) ruled that a custodial parent wishing to move would have the burden of proof that the move is in the child's best interests and will not impede the child's relationship with the noncustodial parent. Thank you. Interesting. I loved reading Dr. Stahls interpretations of what was going on.
