Court was less than a month ago, February 24, 2010. It was adjourned because GAL felt she wanted to see how kids did in therapy before making decision despite the fact that I was pushing for 4 months to get them in therapy and father kept saying no. GAL said I could do it on my time but the therapists needed consent from both parents and father would not consent. Conveniently he did finally consent 10 days before court. When at court, we met in chambers. Long story short (off record this all was), judge told GAL after everything he heard that if he had to make a decision right then and there, kids would be with me during school year and father every other weekend with more visitation in summer. Education was the most important issue to the judge because kids are with father 10/14 days and their grades are horrible. He strongly suggested to the GAL that she consider his recommendation. Now in the meantime, since the GAL asked for an adjournment, I was not allowed to get any additional time with my kids which upset me very much. My lawyer asked the judge could the GAL recommend something before court next and the judge said deinfinitely and he hopes not to see us at court next time and that a recommendation should have been done yesterday.
Now it has been over 3 weeks and the GAL has not responded to several of my emails. One regarding me signing up my son for baseball that she told me to do and the father telling me he will not take him to any practices or games because he doesnt want him in baseball. Another email about my concerns for their grades because they have 3-4 D's in their classes. We are to meet, my lawyer, father, his lawyer, and GAL in her office April 22, 2010 but I feel that is too far away to wait to address these concerns. My lawyer has called her and she hasn't responded. What should I do? I continue to email her every week referencing the previous email and stating I have yet to hear from her. Should I just continue to email her once a week? I want her to realize how important my kids and their grades are to me and voice my concerns. I also feel that her telling me to sign my son up for baseball ($90) and his father refusing to take him now needs to be addressed. Practice starts before we meet and he depends on her to make decisions all the time. What is going to happen after she is gone? He needs to learn to work on things with me but he refuses. He also says no to everything I believe to be spiteful to me and use the kids against me.
