About a year ago I won a small claims case in Wisconsin and started garnishing the wages of the defendant. Last May when I re-filed the paper work to continue garnishing his wages, I was told that he no longer worked there and had moved out of state with no forwarding address. I was told that there was nothing I could really do to get the remainder of my money with no contact information on the defendant. I happened to run into the defendant at a local bar last Friday and when I approached him about the case he said he was fired in May but got his job back recently and to go ahead and re-file the paper work. I think he is lying and if he is not back at his job what can I do? He said he is still living in Madison but refused to give me any contact information.
