Im from Illinois, my husband gave a 30 day notice to his employer that he would be seeking employment elsewhere for personal reasons ( not being able to get along with his boss well) The owners of the company had agreed to give us 1500$ moving expense to move, he started his job 3 mos. ago, and our house just sold. The brought him into the office after his oral notice, and said you have to sign this peice of paper or we say you "resign". The paper said, we will not pay your moving expenses as said in original contract of employment (which we have no copy of) we will not pay your bonuses last month, we will not pay your bonuses this month, etc. etc with outlandish statements, basically expecting him not to sign, but forcing him to take the other option of resigning? This is a salary job, shouldnt they have to pay for the 30 days. My husband did not "quit", he gave a customary notice of his leave date?????? need lots of advice here,

They must pay him for the days he worked. And, unless he had a contract stating otherwise, they could fire him at any time, either before or after he gave them notice. As for the rest, I have to admit I am confused. Did they fire him? What was the understanding they came to?
