What is the name of your state? MN
Hi Lana,
There are many articles in websites which indicate that INS is taking steps to expedite GC process time. In this regard, one of the main steps taken is to clean out all back-logs for GC applications till date. The back-logs would be sent to Nebraska/any other center and these applications would be taken care immediately. New applications will be sent to different centers.
Also, I understand that there will not be State/Federal Labor separately. It will be a central region associated for mid-west/western/eastern states together.
Here are my questions:
1. Is the above process already in effect ?
2. If yes, what is the target time to clean out all backlogs ?
3. If there is a central region, would there not be any more State/Federal Labor concept ?
4. If a person had applied for GC some time back and State Labor is clear, would this be considered a backlog and would this have more priority than the applications which have not even started the Labor process?
Your advice in this matter would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Uma
