I have received the date for a meeting of my creditors but I am in a terrible situation. The exact date for my case I will be out of town on business for my job. Can the date for the meeting be changed since I must be present since a joint claim was filed for my husband and myself.

Thanks for any help,

My response:

Which is more important in your life, the trip or the BK? We all make choices in life and, if you make the wrong choice, your BK could be dismissed. Call the BK Trustee to find out if he/she can schedule a continued hearing date. If not, then you have a choice to make, don't you.
