What is the name of your state? Florida,

But for this purpose Georgia. I was wondering if any of you ladies that live in Georgia know when a woman marries, does her DL# change?

The old DL in Florida shows suspended and the Georgia DL I have shows as invalid. In Florida my license # changed after I married. The Florida license shows suspended for arrears in CS.

Thanks.

Reading the Georgia DL web site, I get the feeling they don't change numbers.

"Can I change the number on my driver's license or identification card? If your driver's license or identification number has been compromised, the DDS will issue a new license to you with a different license number. Call (678) 413-8766. Victims of license fraud must have a police report that indicates that your driver's license number or identification card number was compromised in order to be eligible to receive a new number.

Additionally, all customers who have used their social security numbers as their license or ID card numbers will be getting a new number on their next renewal after January 1, 2007.

If your license or ID card number changes, please be sure to share the new number with your car insurance agent, your bank, and other financial institutions that use that number to identify you."

Thank you. I had read that too...and was going to call, but we are on central time.

I'm going to call this morning and find out...and I will post what they say.

Thanks so much.

You were correct, it doesn't change. The SS card and the name on the DL has to be the same. They gave me the information I needed...so, that worked out.

Thanks for your help.
