What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? North Carolina

I was convicted in June 2010 for a DUI in North Carolina, and I am currently driving on a limited privilege. My wife and I will be looking to relocate next summer/fall. Assuming the 1-year license suspension (per NC) ends in July 2011, with subsequent NC license restoration, will I be able to get a driver's license in other states?

I assume that laws and rules vary from state to state; however, is there any rule of thumb that permits someone to get a license in another state if they have satisfied their suspension/reinstatement elsewhere?

Thanks for any help.

The rule of thumb is that no state that will issue you a license until you fully restore your driving privs in NC.
